The FIA president is still not deterred from the idea of "cleaning up" communication between drivers. And if all this fails with penalties, then encryption will come next.
Radio communication has already caused unforgettable moments for motorsport fans many times, just think of the classics of Kimi Räikkönen or the expressions of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. However, the FIA is waging war not only against common sense, but also against humor, thanks to which from 2025 anyone who speaks obscenely on the radio can lose points. And that is still not good enough for Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who also wants to exclude viewers from the above-mentioned experience and encrypt radio conversations.
"Should we turn off live radio communication? There are efforts in this direction. There are many things that we are working on with the involvement of the promoters. Remember that we are still the owners of the championship, we will determine which direction we will go," - said the sports director.
We don't want to seem inappropriate, but doesn't someone finally want to remove this leadership from the FIA?
