Even though we will have to wait a while for the opening of the 2025 season, work is already in full swing, we will soon hear the first starts of the new cars, film days will begin and then tests... And boom, here we have the opening of the championship at the Australian Grand Prix!
And now with a serious change, because this is F1 returning to its roots and established traditions, because until recently it would have been unthinkable for the season not to start in Melbourne. Thank God, traditions have won, so on March 16th the 76th Formula 1 season can start at Albert Park, where, compared to last year, 24 races will take place this year, including six sprint weekends. The first of these will take place at the second race weekend event of the year in Shanghai, then in Miami, Spa Francorchamps, Austin, Sao Paulo and Losail, exciting moments will also take place on Friday.
The field will arrive in Europe in mid-May, with Imola being the first race when Formula 1 arrives on the old continent. For us Hungarians, it is an important change that the Hungarian Grand Prix has regained its usual status as the last race before the summer break, with a circus of speed taking place on the partially restored Hungaroring from August 3rd to 5th. The place and time of the end of the season will remain fixed, with F1 once again concluding in early December in Abu Dhabi.
