Ralf Schumacher is convinced that Max Verstappen will not compete for Red Bull Racing next year, and he will stand by this opinion even if he is sued for it.
The reason is not so much Red Bull's poor performances this year, but we need to go much deeper to understand what the German driver is saying:
"It is absolutely clear that Max Verstappen will only stay at Red Bull for a limited time. It is not because of the poor performance of the car, but the new engine project has damaged the relationship between the driver and the team. And of course, the power struggles... However, Mercedes and Aston Martin with Honda could be familiar surroundings for Max. He knows what to expect. In the meantime, there will be other difficulties at Red Bull, e.g. with the engine electronics, the gradual erosion of the team. There is constant tension between Christian Horner and Helmut Mark, which does not lead anywhere good, even a blind person can see that. Max Verstappen hates that and tries to avoid it. That is how it is, even if Horner sues me for this opinion.
"He is currently being targeted by Toto Wolff because he once "scared" Verstappen and that turned out to be a huge mistake. But Max will not go to Mercedes, but to Aston Martin. Either Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll should leave early to make room for him, but the Greens will somehow solve it."
