The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is fast approaching and things are definitely not going as planned at Red Bull. At least that's what a recent statement from the team's technical director suggests.
Pierre Wache said they are a little disappointed with the progress they have made. And that seems to be much less than that of their big rivals, and the car is not working exactly as they would like and what they had previously counted on.
"I think the first day of testing was still okay. However, from the second day on, certain problems emerged, due to which we did not find the right range of operation. This basically determines our competitiveness. This is a serious problem at the moment... I think the opening will be very close, because McLaren and Ferrari are faster than us." - Wache stated optimistically despite the difficult situation.
