The joke is that the last time this happened was 800 Formula 1 races ago. It all happened accompanied by pole position and the fastest lap!
In addition, Oscar Piastri has now moved into the World Championship challengers' bracket, just three points behind team-mate Lando Norris. Piastri has won four races so far, most recently at the Bahrain Grand Prix, setting an Australian national record.
Alan Jones achieved a similar feat in Williams colours at the inaugural Argentine Grand Prix in 1980, the 329th race in the series' history, while last weekend's Bahrain race was the 1,129th, meaning exactly 800 races would have to be run for the Australian to repeat it. What a great sign for Piastri that when Jones did it, he also won the championship that year...
