Spoiler: It looks like it is. Now let's not dwell on the fact that with such a decision F1 is once again providing a parody of itself, let's focus on the essence.
It is fitting that we are finally seeing such a stupid decision-making situation, which paradoxically also has its advantages. The FIA recently hinted on social media that the once popular V10 engines could return. At first glance, it seemed like a nonsensical idea, as the series prepares to focus on more modern hybrid engines based on soon-to-be-introduced synthetic fuels in the coming years. However, the consistency of Formula 1 is such that yesterday they say one thing, today the opposite happens, and this is no different on the engine front. Not so much that we can practically cross it off, when the next major rule change comes, one of the biggest surprises will be the return of V10 engines. In fact, Nikolas Tombazis has already confirmed this in his statement, but if anyone is unable to see past his words, they can wait for the weekend of the Bahrain Grand Prix or the announcement that comes after.
