Günther Steiner thinks that the interval during which a driver can feel supported by Ferrari fans and/or the professional public is approximately half a year.
But if results don't come in this time, the current hype could easily backfire.
"I'm sure he'll get his time. He'll have a grace period during which no one will criticize him. But it won't last forever and it won't last until the end of the season. I think he has to show results in six months at the most, and serious results!
But he doesn't have to stress about it. As a professional athlete, he would never take on something that he thought wouldn't suit him, that he wouldn't be able to function in. If someone thinks like that, they shouldn't even take on it... And if something were to go wrong, they'd deal with it when it happens.
"Lewis sees it as something he can do and doesn't waste unnecessary energy trying to undermine that belief with negative feelings. He will simply give his best, which is nothing less than returning Scuderia Ferrari to the top after 2007," Günther Steiner reflected.
It is certain that if he succeeds, he will surely go to heaven as an eight-time world champion. However, if Charles Leclerc beats him, the ground under his feet could become hot very quickly… Exciting months lie ahead!
