These days, many and in different ways, "experts" are assessing Liam Lawson's poor performance at the start of the season. However, former team boss Giancarlo Minardi does not share the public opinion. According to him, Lawson is not responsible for his performance.
Rather, it is Max Verstappen who, despite his undeniable achievements, has turned Red Bull Racing into a waterworks. Verstappen is the center upon which everything is built, and that is why it is very difficult to stand up to him:
"There are no problems at Red Bull that cause one driver to perform poorly, as most people think or suggest. As Verstappen's teammate, everyone starts with a huge handicap, and it's not because the Dutchman is so terribly good. Rather, it's because everything, every last screw, is tailored and set for him, and every one of his previous teammate suffered from that. And Liam Lawson can't deal with that now. He simply shouldn't have allowed it in an optimal situation, but thanks to his successes, Max already has such a say that he will simply figure it out for himself." - defended the young Lawson by the Italian veteran.
