Helmut Marko and his team made another typical Red Bull Racing mistake this week when they benched Liam Lawson after just two races. The driver is not the only one who is happy about this.
And neither does the team's icon, Max Verstappen. Verstappen has already indicated several times that he is not happy with his situation at RBR, perhaps this will be another impetus for him to go in a different direction...
"We are aware that Max is not happy now. But he also needs to realise that we need two cars, not just for the constructors' championship. Much more so to help him win another world championship. Strategically we need the presence of both our cars at the forefront, we hope that Yuki Tsunoda will live up to our expectations. Yuki comes in good form and if he can do it here too, it will be an advantage for Max. We did not choose him before because he was not balanced enough. However, Lawson failed under pressure, got into a negative spiral and could not get out of it. He found himself in a situation like a boxer being counted on. The mistake was that we did not see this weakness of his earlier." - said Marko, who probably added wings to the "gossip" about Verstappen and Aston Martin.
