Even though the season hasn't even started yet, there are more and more voices in the industry pointing out that defending champion Red Bull Racing will have a lot to rise from.
This is not denied by Red Bull itself, quite the opposite. Of course, now one can comment on nonsense like "it's a sleepover" and the like, but the truth is that a certain characteristic emerged during the tests. And in the case of the Australian Grand Prix, it does not predict the success of Max Verstappen. This was also acknowledged by Helmut Marko, who emphasized in an interview that although they have made progress compared to 2024, others have achieved more:
"At the moment, the favorite is clearly McLaren. The tests showed that they have strengthened a lot for one lap and on longer stages, not to mention the wear on the tires. Despite this, their superiority is not considered alarming, especially considering the weather conditions in which the first kilometers were driven.
"It would be difficult to predict the exact order of forces, but I think there could be up to four teams in the competition this year. I'm talking about the same four teams that dominated last year, only now I see a stronger fight," said Helmut Marko.
And we'll just add that if it turned out like this, we definitely wouldn't complain about it!
