At least NOT yet. Eddie Jordan brutally dethroned the contender for the throne when he said he wasn't ready to become world champion yet. It would be hard to disagree with that statement.

Just look at the Brazilian Grand Prix and what Max Verstappen did there… Have we ever seen anything like that from Lando Norris? He hasn't shown anything like that, never. He needs to look in the mirror, he needs to get fired up and learn to be relentless, because he's not yet. Real winners don't give respect to anyone, they don't know jokes or friendship, Lando needs to learn that. This year he couldn't turn his opportunities into victories, he got stuck on the starting line, and with that number of victories, no one has ever been world champion…” - Jordan's harsh assessment sounded.
