Sergio Perez had another extremely poor weekend. The Red Bull driver struggled to start on the grid and the aftermath was even more miserable. The highlight was when he collided with Liam Lawson and wrecked his car. Even the Red Bull Racing team principal was not silent about it.
"Formula 1 is a results-based business. If someone doesn't perform here, first they get a warning, then they get fired. We work as a team, we fight as a team, and for that we need both cars, both drivers. That's the essence of Formula 1. We've always given Perez everything and we've always supported him, and that will continue to be the case next weekend in Brazil. But there will soon come a point where we have to consider how to move forward and make a painful decision.
"We are now third in the constructors' championship and we want to fight for victory again. There are still four races to go and it will not be an easy task," Horner said of Perez in a stern tone.
