Dark clouds are gathering on the horizon over the Red Bull Racing team, and team principal Christian Horner himself is no longer hiding this.
Max Verstappen's surprise victory at the Japanese Grand Prix briefly covered up a deeper crisis, but in Bahrain there was a slap in the face...:
"The car is behaving similarly to last year's model, although I must add that in 2024 we did not have any problems with the brakes. The balance is most disturbed between the entry of the corner and the middle of it, which is an aerodynamic problem. The main problem is that we cannot find a solution to this. We understand the problems, but the problem is that the solutions that we have tried on our equipment are unfortunately not in line with what we are experiencing on the track. We need to get to the bottom of this problem because if these two things do not overlap, we will not be able to get out of this hole. Our experts are available, they have built fantastic cars in recent years, I sincerely believe that they can solve these problems as well. We just need to find some solution with our simulator and wind tunnel, because at the moment it is like we are looking at two different times on two different clocks." - stated Horner.
