Scuderia Ferrari has had a quiet and uneventful day, and every decent F1 fan knows what a great success it is after the first day of testing a new car.
Bahrain testing is extremely important for everyone involved, but if there's anyone who cares the most, it's Lewis Hamilton. It's a good sign that not only he, but also Charles Leclerc, spoke very positively at the end of the first day:
"It's always great to end the day with a new car without any unexpected problems during your program. Of course, it would be premature to talk about performance, we have to do a lot of analysis, process the data during tonight to be smarter tomorrow," said Leclerc.
"It's exciting to test, I love this part of the year. It's the first moment when we can see where everyone is, and we can see, we can feel what can be expected of us. Well, after one lap I can say that driving the SF-25 has been incredible. At the moment we are just experimenting, focusing on collecting data and of course on adapting to the car as best as possible. But after just one day we have learned a lot and I have a very good feeling!" - Hamilton was delighted.
