We are just hours away from the start of the 2025 F1 season and the first free practice session at the Australian Grand Prix. And for some, it will be the most extraordinary experience of their lives, none other than Lewis Hamilton.
Given the situation, many might assume that there is a lot of pressure on Hamilton's shoulders, but he has now sought to dispel those doubts:
"I think the pressure I've put on myself throughout my career has always been ten times greater than anything I've ever put on myself from the outside. So I can safely say that I'm not really under any pressure from others right now. I have huge expectations of myself: I know what I'm capable of, I know how I can perform. It doesn't take anything other than work, putting my head down and working. I came to Australia with good feelings, I'm open and receptive, let's see what rhythm we can get, what vibrations hit us.
Yes, I'm still learning how the new car works. The truth is that it's very different from the racing machines I've driven before. The Mercedes engine is completely different from the Ferrari power unit, I'm controlled by different feelings, different vibrations at the wheel. This team is like that too: it works completely differently." - how, we'll soon find out in practice.
