Sergio Perez's place at Red Bull Racing is in danger, it's no longer news. Every day names are coming up who could replace him, now Christian Fittipaldi has presented an interesting proposal.
Former Formula 1 driver Fittipaldi claims that it is very possible that Red Bull's second driver, the tired Oscar Piasti, will say goodbye to McLaren at the end of the season and continue his career in Perez's place from 2025:
"Although it seems strange now, I don't think it's impossible that Oscar Piastri will leave McLaren at the end of the year and take Perez's place at Red Bull. By then, Piastri might get a little tired of supporting Lando Norris, of his role as second driver, and, under the influence of a sudden idea, decide to change," Fittipaldi mused.
It may sound crazy, but there are several possibilities. One of them is that Piasti could sit in the best car on the track and be able to compare himself with the best driver in the championship. Red Bull would gain a great driver and at the same time seriously weaken their biggest rival, the McLaren team. It's a thought-provoking proposal!
