Anyone who has been following Lewis Hamilton's debut at Scuderia Ferrari may have noticed that the Briton lacks his usual silliness this time. Elegant, poised, almost exemplary. Like a true athlete! It seems like he's not doing all this of his own free will...
Because the seven-time world champion also "tried" some interesting things with the Italians, such as a deal with a fashion sponsor that was not agreed in advance. Hamilton announced last week during testing that he would be the face and ambassador of the fashion brand Lululemon. However, he forgot to inform Scuderia Ferrari, as well as the team's official clothing supplier, Puma. The Germans were so upset by this move that John Elkann, Ferrari president, reportedly had to calm down passions.
Finally, with Elkann's special permission, Hamilton can collaborate with the aforementioned company, but only on the condition that he takes Puma's business interests into account in the future. The consequence of this uproar was that Hamilton was forced to dress normally in Bahrain (meaning, without any divisive extremes) and could be seen every day in the official Scuderia Ferrari suits from Puma.
