Brown: "Verstappen will no longer be a Red Bull driver in 2026"

Brown: “Verstappen v roku 2026 už nebude pilotom Red Bull”

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

(It's not that much) A surprising statement was made by the McLaren boss: Zak Brown thinks Max Verstappen is spending his last year at Red Bull Racing. However, Lando Norris' boss also made a surprising prediction...

According to Brown, Verstappen will not build a new career at the much-mentioned Aston Martin, but at another team:

"I think this will be his last season at Red Bull, and I would be sure where he will continue: at Mercedes! I know that many and a lot is speculated about Aston Martin, especially since Adrian Newey moved there. But it will take Adrian to build around himself the organizational culture and the team with which they can achieve championship ambitions. But Max does not like to wait... That is why I think Mercedes will be a winner for him. And in fact it would be a completely logical step. Mercedes is the most successful team of the last decade, which had a difficult year, but still won four races and is on the rise. They have prepared well for the rule changes in 2026, we know that Toto Wolff is also intensely interested in Max, and in addition, the contracts of both their drivers are expiring..." - Zak Brown hinted at Verstappen's bombshell.
