Today, the collective testing days continued in Bahrain, where this time Williams was the fastest, overtaking two Ferraris.
Thursday also did not show its best face, the field was greeted by cloudy, slightly rainy weather. George Russell nevertheless quickly improved on the best result from yesterday, then Lewis Hamilton took the lead. In the second hour, a surprise came, such intense rain that it was impossible to continue the work. The reason was quite funny: the teams were not prepared with wet tires (WTF??)
After the forced break, Hamilton pushed even harder, setting the fastest time of the morning. Only one person managed to beat this time, Carlos Sainz, who had already come close to Hamilton in the morning stage, and ended the day ahead of the British racer on the same compounds. Sainz had an exceptionally productive day, leading the Williams alone, completing 120 laps without any problems. The same cannot be said for Liam Lawson, who also completed the whole day, but had many problems with the Red Bull technical side, and his confidence is still showing problems. McLaren "let go" this day, last year's winner of the constructors' title was clearly working on something else, instead of chasing time results, he focused on long stages.
