They didn't go out for collective testing on Wednesday, they already unveiled their new car last night, which they will also test on the track at the film day in Bahrain tomorrow.
The team opted for a tried and tested online presentation, during which they released the graphics of the AMR25. According to Fernando Alonso, this model is 95% different from last year's race car. The side boxes have changed, the front wing, which carries a strong development. Their aim is to achieve better speed in slower corners than ever before. The cooling, the engine cover and the overall appearance have also been improved in terms of the effectiveness of the aerodynamic package.
All of these changes were made to improve the car's handling, to avoid the problems we saw last year when Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll struggled. With the innovations mentioned, the Aston Martin could be stronger on the more technically demanding tracks, which were a weak point last year.
"We've taken all the lessons and feedback from last year with this car. Our aim was to give Lance and Fernando a car that handles much better, we've worked hard to keep it under control and make it a reliable vehicle," said Andy Cowell, Team Principal.
