Today they introduced and immediately tested the 2025 Williams, which received great feedback:
“Everything is going according to plan, which was confirmed on the track today. We have made a big step forward in terms of quality, the guys in the factory have done an excellent job. We can safely say that the FW47 is clearly progress. Last year we lost a lot of time by exceeding the weight limit, but we have improved the materials used and the quality of the production, which allows us to get a better start. Our previous car did not do very well in crosswinds, which we also worked on a lot because it hurt us a lot. The GPS data shows that we really struggled in windy conditions.
We have to see where the competition is, but overall I am very positive. I would like to see how we improve, how we get into position, but it is already a very good sign that we are basically operating as a top team. With the arrival of Carlos Sainz we have taken a huge step forward, it is a great reinforcement for the team! Carlos had the best season of his life last year, he performed fantastically. It will be a good reference point for me, I can learn a lot from him, and I hope he will learn from me too.” – Alexander Albon said appreciatively.
